Welcome to the
Gerald R. Ford Republican Women's Club.
It is my pleasure to be serving as the President of the GRFRWC for the 2012-13 term. Our club has been a part of the National Federation since 1951 and I'm pleased to continue the traditions of education and the development of women in the cause of good government.
The heart of the our mission is the protection and education of the United States Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights. We will do this by having political activities and programs that will inform our members on issues. By joining our local club, you will automatically become affiliated with the Republican Women's Federation of Michigan and the National Federation of Republican Women. You will be given the opportunity to become more involved with the Republican Party and at the same time form lasting friendships with like minded women.
I have been a strong Conservative Republican for over 25 years. I have been very involved with the Republican Party by helping in phone banks, candidate fundraisers, attending Kent County Republican events, 2011 Mackinac Leadership Conference, Republican State Conventions, as well as the NFRW Convention in Kansas City and as the Chaplin of the State Federation (RWFM). I'm married to Rev. Philip Smith and have 8 children. (4 boys and 4 girls). I'm also currently pursuing my Business Law Degree at Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, MI.
Blessings,
Bernadette
